Approved use
In South Africa Ozempic is registered for adults with type 2 diabetes (Spotlight, 2025). Other medicines with the same active ingredient have their own approvals, so check with your doctor.
Beware of fakes
The regulator, SAHPRA, has warned that falsified semaglutide is sold in South Africa. Buy only from a registered pharmacy and only with a prescription. We list no seller of compounded or unregistered semaglutide.
